Rest in Peace Heath! Such an amazing, unique actor! He gave us such great memorable films, and left this world so early in his life! Heath shall never be forgotten! This post is dedicated to the nice and kind person who performed an unforgettable Oscar winning Joker in The Dark Knight, and also gave us such great films as: 10 Things I Hate About You, A Knight’s Tale, The Brothers Grimm, Brokeback Mountain, Casanova, The Dark Knight and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus!
Rest in Peace Heath!!!

Frost Flowers Blooming in the Arctic Ocean are Found to be Teeming with Life
These snowflake-like crystals grow from tiny imperfections in floating sea ice, the super-frigid air causing water vapor to crystallize right out of the air into the stunning ordered shapes you see.
These “frost flowers” have been found to harbor microbial life, far more than the sea around them, creating tiny ecosystems like forzen coral. Life does find a way, huh?
Read more about the research of these “frost flower” microbial communities here.

Cognitive damage from cancer treatment isn’t ‘all in your head’
Cancer survivors who have undergone chemotherapy often report problems with memory and concentration after treatment. It’s not surprising, considering that chemotherapy drugs are some of the most potent and powerful known to medicine. Now a team has put some neuroscience behind this mysterious condition.
Before now, doctors were unsure that “chemo brain” was something that actually existed, separate from depression-like symptoms and other stresses associated with the cancer experience. New brain scan studies of chemo patients (like above) show reduced (green) activity in areas of the brain associated with concentration and memory.
Beating cancer is hard enough without feeling like you’re going crazy. I hope this helps us treat the mind and body of those who fight it.
